The Venue: IUAC- Inter university Accelerator Centre

Inter-University Accelerator Centre (IUAC) was set-up by the University Grants Commission as the first Inter-University Centre (IUC) called Nuclear Science Centre after due approval of the Planning Commission and the Prime Minister in October, 1984. Its construction started in December, 1986 and completed in time on December 19, 1990.

We open new windows to the young minds of our nation and strengthen the pool of scientists by building a brighter future through scientific understanding.

Mission
In the quest of innovation & capacity building in the areas of accelerator driven research, IUAC is India’s premier laboratory for university researchers.
Our vision is to provide necessary powerful tools used by scientists to understand the mysteries of matter, energy, space and time by looking at the processes that works at the bigger, smaller and faster scales.

About Indraprastha Vigyan Bharati (VIBHA)

Indraprastha Vigyan Bharati is the Delhi prant unit of Vijnana Bharati. It is a science movement with a swadeshi spirit led by eminent Indian scientists of Bharata. It was started as the Swadeshi Science Movement under the guidance of Prof. K. I. Vasu at Indian Institute of Sciences, Bengaluru. In 1991 it was decided to launch the Swadeshi Science Movement at all India level with the name, Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA).

The founding principles of VIBHA are:
  • To establish a vibrant movement for the development of Swadeshi Sciences;
  • As a dynamic Science Movement with a Swadeshi Spirit, interlinking traditional and modern sciences on the one hand, and natural and spiritual sciences on the other hand;
  • As a Swadeshi Movement with modern sciences adapted to national needs.

Vijnana Bharati has units in all states across the country. It is working in 12 different areas through autonomous institutions, independent organisations & also as project entities.
